John Carpenter
Quote:
"I Wanted to be like Don Glut. He was the king!" |

|
  Donald
F. Glut
CONFIRMED!
While in his early
teens, Chicago native Donald F. Glut made amateur
movies. These movies were so good that they caught the attention of a
number of people in the industry. Don's films played in theatres, they
aired on television, and they inspired many people to enter the
film business - people such as the legendary John Carpenter, whose
quote was "I wanted to be like Don Glut!"
Don went on to become internationally-known as a writer. He wrote
many, many stories for Marvel Comics. The New York Times #1 Best Selling
Author wrote, for example, "The Empire Strikes Back"
novel, "Dinosaurs: The Encyclopedia", and hundreds of additional
stories, books, and articles. If you put his name in a search engine,
you'll find over 12,000 references to "Don Glut," and over
33,000 to
"Donald F. Glut."
After achieving
world-wide success as a writer, Don decided to embrace his passion for
producing and directing. No more amateur movies, it was time to go
pro. Along with two partners, Don formed Frontline Entertainment, of
which he is President. At least 18 completed projects have come
from Front Line so far, including "Dinosaur Valley Girls" starring Karen
Black, the project The Hollywood Reporter named 'news item of the
week'. Don has hired over 40 actors whom he met at seminar events -- including a starring role in a SAG film
for an actor who had never done a starring role before. Don is going to
be appearing as a featured speaker this Sunday afternoon at another
special seminar event. He will soon be looking for talent for his next film. And,
you are invited to attend.
Like the vast majority
of producers, Don hires people he knows. He can't hire you if he
doesn't know you exist. So, you have two ways to now be
brought to the attention of Mr. Donald F. Glut: (1) By far the best
way, if at all possible, is to attend the seminar this Sunday afternoon,
say Hello to Don, and hand him your photo and resume. -- or --
(2) If you absolutely cannot be there Sunday to meet this
extraordinarily well-connected personality, at least mail him your
photo and resume.
Donald
F. Glut (CONFIRMED):
A very well-connected producer/director, Don's origins
in the industry go back to U.S.C. film school with George Lucas. The man who
wrote "The Empire Strikes Back" novel, and President of Frontline
Entertainment, Don's "DVG" feature
(starring Karen Black)
and was 'news item of the week' in the Hollywood Reporter.
The sequel will shoot next year. During
the past few years, Don has produced and directed five feature films, including the SAG film "The Vampire Hunter's Club",
"Scarlet Countess" (which had it's
premiere private screening at Sony Studios), "The Mummy's Kiss",
"The Mummy's Kiss: 2nd Dynasty" (the sequel) and "Crimson Tears" (aka "Countess Dracula's Orgy of Blood").
His latest film, "Blood Scarab," enjoyed a double world premiere
(Los Angeles and Chicago).
This is an excellent opportunity to hand your
photo and resume to a very active film producer.

"The
Art & Science of Networking in the Entertainment Industry"
Professionals in the entertainment industry must network
in order to become successful. They must network in order to remain
successful This is an absolutely amazing seminar event taught by active
entertainment industry professionals. If you live in the greater Los
Angeles area, you run into people who can hire you every day. Learn how to
recognize them, what to say to them, and how to follow-up so they will want to
hire you. Learn what professional networking events are open to you --
networking events where you can meet producers (the people who hire and fire
everybody) -- and there are multiple networking events going on every day.
Learn how to research these people, how and where to meet them in a professional
businesslike atmosphere, how to design and utilize a "tickle" file to stay in
touch with them, and much more. And, if you really want
to make the most of this opportunity, here are a few suggestions:
-
Bring photos and resumes for the producers. Approximately 50
actors have been hired as a result of meeting producers at these events.
-
Bring a tape recorder if you're not great at taking notes. There
will be a great deal of insight and "inside" information shared with you
on Saturday.
-
Make a list of all the movies and TV shows you've seen in the last five
years that you thought were extraordinary.
-
See if you can find the names of the producers of those projects; then
see how many current addresses you can find of those producers.
Don't worry if you don't have total success. You'll learn how to
do this quickly and easily at the seminar.
-
Make a list of the producers and directors with whom you'd like to work.
You'll learn how to contact and approach them at Sunday's seminar.
-
Dress professionally, as though you'll be meeting people who can hire
you -- because you will.
-
Share this information with your actor friends. Invite them to
attend. One thing you will be taught is the necessity of having a
support system in achieving major success quickly -- the greatest amount
of success in the least amount of time (and how to totally enjoy the
journey).
-
Please be on time. The doors open at 1:45 PM, and we begin at 2:00
PM. It's better to be late than not to attend at all.
However, it's much better to be at least a few minutes early. The
producers will be impressed by your professionalism.
-
Sign in when you arrive, take a free 13-page "Success Tips" booklet ( or
download it now), make a Nametag for yourself, take a
seat, and get ready for an amazing career-boosting 2+ hour seminar
event!
-
Be sure to register for the drawing. We often give away wonderful
and valuable prizes at the seminar events.
You'll be amazed at the amount of usable knowledge you gain at
this event.
This SPECIAL event is limited to 30 people
Please reserve NOW to guarantee your seat!
